Welcome

Welcome to the website of the project Through the Eyes of Another, intercultural reading of the Bible!

The core question of the project is: what happens when small groups of readers of Biblical texts from sometimes radically different contexts read the same Biblical story and get involved in a dialogue about its meaning?

Experience has taught us that this way of reading Biblical stories can be a catylist for more understanding, change of perspective and social transformation. And that is the main goal we want to achieve with this project. The Bible can be an instrument for liberation and reconciliation.

If you want to know how people in the Andes or in the African villages or the Indonesian rice fields or Western historical churches read the Bible and if you want to become part of the encounters between these groups, then join us!
